I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Tacoma Baptist High School. My plan after high school was to attend Washington State University where I wanted to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. God, however, had other plans! A good friend suggested that I attend Boise Bible College for one year and well… you can see how the rest of the story goes. At Boise Bible College I met my beautiful wife of 21 years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts-Ministerial and Minors in Greek and Youth Ministry. My wife and I spent 21 years pastoring in various churches in Southern Oregon, during which 4 fantastic and enthusiastic daughters, and 1 ambitious son who enjoys testing the character of his sisters, came into our lives! God has truly blessed us every step of the way especially as He guided us to this amazing church family here in Centralia, Washington. Aside from spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle, hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing my guitar. I have also spent time as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. However, what I truly enjoy most is seeing people come into contact with Jesus Christ, where experiencing a real relationship with Him, results in a real-life transformation that was never thought possible.
I was born and raised in very Northern California. My children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and I have lived in a 30-mile radius for most of my life. I was not raised in a Christian home, although through others, we visited many different types of churches and had a longing for the Lord. After the typical teen and young adult struggles of searching for self I saw that my sister had a very satisfying relationship at her church and started attending as well. I became an active church member without ever coming to know Christ. It wasn’t until two junior high girls gave their testimonies and I went forward to talk to someone about baptism that anyone asked me about my relationship with Christ. A very astute woman started at square one and led me to Christ as my savior. At that time, I was a staff wife and was really baptized on my first anniversary. Through the years Christ has become my life and leads each step of the way. A new step along His journey leaving my two sons their wives and five grandchildren to come alongside Alyssa, Blake, Remington, Atticus, Jedidiah, and Jackson Martz in life here in Centralia, Washington. The Lord has further blessed by allowing me to serve here with you at Centralia Christian Church.

Women's Ministry Director
I am a born and raised Southern. I grew up in Decatur, Alabama, the oldest of 3 girls. We were raised going to church every time the doors were open and I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior as a child and have been doing my best to follow His leading ever since. Many people wonder how I made it all the way out here from Alabama and the short answer is I fell in LOVE. I met Dave through a college friend and found myself heading WEST very quickly. We were married in 2000 and have 3 fabulous children. We ended up here in Centralia in 2009 after Dave started his own business. Dave grew up in Chehalis and has family in the area which helped us make the decision to call Centralia home. I enjoy treasure hunting at garage sales, thrift shops and antique stores. Centralia has been a great place for this hobby. I also enjoy pinterest and all things crafty. Since making Centralia our home, I have been very involved in the schools in our area and enjoy working part time for the Centralia School District. With 3 busy kids my life can be pretty hectic. Despite the chaos of life and feelings of self-doubt, I felt God calling me to work with the women of our church. I answered that call and have served at Centralia Christian as the Women’s Ministry Coordinator since 2011. God has stretched me and often pushes me way out of my comfort zone but, I really do enjoy it! I have a passion to see the women of our church grow together as a support network for each other and to see them grow in their own personal relationship with Christ.
