Today it feels like culture is obsessed with “optimization,” with finding the most efficient way to do a job, the easiest way to accomplish a task, or the absolute best person for a role or job. When we pick teams for a sport, we want the absolute best team to give us the best chance to win. Yet, in the Bible, God often chooses the most unlikely people to follow Him and fulfill a role! God uses people that probably no one else would choose, people who are not the best for their role. Why would God choose these people? Why does God work so differently from culture? And what does this mean for us today?

Join us for the next three weeks as we study the story of Gideon to answer these questions.
