Paradox (Week 1)
Jun 7, 2026 • Brad Brenner
This message launches a summer series on the paradoxical teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, especially the Beatitudes, showing how God’s kingdom often seems upside-down to our world. It urges believers to build their lives on Jesus’ words, seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and live as true salt and light rather than being consumed by politics, culture wars, or mere outward religion. The sermon ends by calling people to humble dependence on Christ, to remain closely connected to Him and His church, and to respond in faith and repentance as they share in communion.
